Human skull found near motorway

Forensic examinations, excavations and searches are being carried at the scene out by police teams supported by experts in archaeology and anthropology.
A police spokeswoman said: “We can confirm inquiries are ongoing after what is believed to be a skull was uncovered”.
‘It is vital that we find out how it got here’.
Mrs Pickett, of Penn, Wolverhampton, who had been visiting Telford, said: “There was clearly a lot of activity at the scene, although much of it was within the woods”.
“I drive past the area regularly and it isn’t nice to hear this”.
A human skull found near a roundabout junction in Telford is believed to be that of an adult male and is thought to be at least two years old.
The discovery was made at around 1.26pm by maintenance workers, on Thursday, who were conducting a survey of an embankment, at junction 4 of the M54 Eastbound.
The eastbound slip road onto the M54 was closed after the find and motorists have been warned that “lengthy” inquiries will take place at the scene.
Police shut the eastbound sliproad of M54 in Shropshire today after gruesome discovery was made in heavy undergrowth down the bank of the road.
