New effort to catch drunken drivers begins Friday
The enhanced enforcement campaign will continue through the Labor Day weekend. State police, sheriff’s departments and local agencies all are involved. Call 911 when witnessing impaired driving behavior.

Tennessee experienced 6,645 known alcohol-related crashes in 2014, according to a press release issued by NPD. As of July 31, the number has risen to more than 8,000. The effort will be coordinated by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety (DPS).
The national Drive Sober campaign kicked-off Friday.
