Mercedes-Benz Acquires Naming Rights Of Falcons’ Stadium, Has Two Stadiums In
Mercedes-Benz agreed Friday to purchase the naming rights to the new stadium being built for the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons, SportsBusiness Daily reported, citing “sources familiar with the negotiations”.
Under terms of the Falcons’ stadium deal with the city of Atlanta and the Georgia World Congress Center Authority, the team controls the sale of naming rights and retains the revenue received.
According to Muret, the Falcons had been looking for a 30-year arrangement with an annual value in excess of $15 million for their $1.5 billion venue.

The stadium will also be used as the home turf of the Atlanta United FC, a new Major League Soccer franchise, which is also owned by Falcon’s owner Arthur Blank. The Saints in “11 announced a 10-year deal to put Mercedes” name on the Superdome.
If Mercedes obtains the rights to the Falcons’ new stadium, it will mean the three-pointed star will adorn two stadiums in the NFC South division for at least five years. In China, the company has held naming rights for Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai since ’09, one year before the building opened.
