Japan’s Pokemon arcade fighting game is coming to Wii U
The Pokemon Company has announced it will be bringing its Pokemon fighting game, Pokken Tournament, to the Wii U in spring 2016. “You will love seeing and battling with your favorite Pokémon”. Hopefully, Bandai Namco sees to bigger picture when it comes to sales figures and look towards the future when building yet another intriguing fighting game exclusively for Nintendo.
There’s sure to be a lot more news for Pokken Tournament coming out of the Tokyo Game Show in September, so stay tuned for any updates. A total of nine characters – Lucario, Machamp, Suicune, Gardevoir, Pikachu, Gengar, Weavile, Charizard, and Blaziken – have been announced for the game. It revealed a new playable character, Pikachu Libre from Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. It hasn’t been revealed if or how the Wii U version will differ from the original arcade release, but it is confirmed for a worldwide release next spring.
