‘Final Fantasy XIV’ (ALL) Exceeds 5 Million Players Worldwide
Final Fantasy XIV, Square Enix‘s online Final Fantasy game, now has crossed the 5 million mark in individual membership subscriptions worldwide.
There’s a host of additional content coming to the MMO in the future that’s likely to see the above number rise even higher – most recently it was teased Blitzball from Final Fantasy X and some sort of tie-in event for Final Fantasy XV could make their way to the title.
“As long as it does not fit perfectly, it should not be included in the game, we think”, Tabata stated. For one, he will share with the live audience and those watching at home on Twitch some personal stories about the development of Final Fantasy 15. With that expansion, of course, comes new players. So, in other words, these new features are practically “cheats” that are built natively into the mobile version.
The multi-award winning and iconic seventh installment in the Final Fantasy series of games is perhaps one of the most popular in the entire list of Final Fantasy games which have been released in the past.
Since this is reportedly ported from the PC version, updated graphics should not be expected. Players have been discovering this new world ever since, with subscribers growing to 2 million in April of past year.
Remember Triple Triad? That destructively addictive card game that distracted Squall and friends while the world crumbled around them in Final Fantasy VIII? The iOS port for the original 1997 “Final Fantasy VII” is now out today. The Japanese video game developer has announced that for the PS4 remake, the game’s combat system will be getting an overhaul.
Square Enix has already said what Tabata will be discussing in this latest Active Time Report. Tech Times expressed that the game’s PC and mobile release suggest that Square Enix is not afraid to tamper with the original game in the name of modern gaming tastes. It has been rolled out for $19.99 NSD or US $15.99 and will spread eastwards within the next 24 hours.
