Go GIF-crazy with free new iOS app from Giphy
For services that support it, Giphy Cam shares the file as a gif, but for services like Instagram that do not support gifs, it uploads them as looping video.
This week the folks at the GIF search engine Giphy have re-entered the age of apps.
That’s right, with the use of the brand new app, everybody can create their own GIF in just a few simple taps.
The Giphy team understands that quite well and the Giphy Cam App is an answer to that.
Giphy, the popular Web search tool that lets you scour the Internet for great reaction GIFs, on Thursday released a new iOS app called Giphy Cam that makes it super easy to create custom animated images on your iPhone.
Then, using your front- or rear-facing camera, you can either record a GIF or shoot five frames in burst mode. Gifs can also be saved to the user’s camera roll. “The following common step was concentrating on creation”.
We’re guessing that once you download Giphy Cam, you won’t be able to stop making GIFs.
Now that this wonderful app is out, GIFs can be created in a matter or minute, maybe even seconds for those social media buffs, so the web might as well be prepared for greatness!
Unlike some other media creation tools, users will not find a news feed or anything like that inside the app. There is also no way to “follow” or “like” friends. But now it’s here, it looks like everyone’s getting all excited about GIFs all over again.
She added, “It’s not a social network”. Users can also apply different filters and memes such as the “Deal With It” filter.
