10 killed as extremist bombers hit military camp in Somalia
‘One hundred apostate militia were killed in an operation carried out by one of the courageous Mujahedeen suicide attackers who drove his vehicle through the enemy inside a training camp and detonated.
Somali police officials say at least 14 people have been killed in two separate bomb explosions.
“A minibus loaded with explosives was detonated inside the training part of the military camp”.
Both attacks bore the hallmarks of al-Shabab.
A senior military official in Kismayo, Col. Mohamed Hassan, said at least 10 soldiers died in the attack.
Over the course of the previous year, Al-Shabaab has suffered a number of significant blows.
African Union Mission to Somalia (AMISOM) said three of its trainers were injured in the attack by “al-Shabaab” at the Somali National Army training school in Kismayu. For example, AP reported 10 soldiers had been killed by the militants in Kismayo.
Witnesses said that Somali forces and African Union troops arrived at the scene and closed all roads to the military site which was attacked by the insurgents.
Abisalad said that an investigation has been launched into the attack.
The militants have been pushed out of Mogadishu and other major cities by government forces and the AMISOM, which is largely made up of troops from Ethiopia, Uganda, Burundi, Djibouti, Sierra Leone and Kenya.
