Mohammed Emwazi: Jihadi John’s chilling threat to return to Britain to ‘carry
The monster, who appears covered with a hood, was last seen on video in January, when he beheaded Japanese hostage Kenji Goto.
The Isis murderer known as Jihadi John and identified in February as Londoner Mohammed Emwazi has vowed to return to Britain.
Athough the Mail On Sunday was only given a eight second excerpt of the film, it was given the full audio of what was said.
It was then shown in full to another FSA-linked activist in Istanbul who said: “He looks at the camera and says, “I am Mohammed Emwazi”.
In the chilling one-minute video, he turns to the camera and warns: “I will carry on cutting heads”. “I will soon go back to Britain with the Khalifa” [the leader of Islamic State]’.
The grainy footage released Saturday was said to have been filmed earlier this summer on a cellphone camera in Deir Ezzor, a town in Syria held by IS.
The Daily Mail reported that it had obtained the clip from Free Syrian Army fighters who gave it to their supporters in Europe. He then forwarded it to Bulgarian counter-terrorist police.
Jihadi John is one of the world’s most wanted men having a price of £6 million on his head by the US.
Reports spread last month that Jihadi John was on the run in Syria and fled to Libya as fellow jihadists allegedly wanted to kill him.
Prior to joining the extremist group, Emwazi was considered a model student at the University of Westminster, where he studied information systems and business management from 2006 to 2009. He first gained notoriety after he beheaded American captive James Foley, 40, in Syria previous year.
Emwazi is believed to be responsible for the beheadings of at least seven Western hostages including Britons David Haines and Alan Henning.
He wrote an article in May in Isis’ monthly magazine called Dabiq, warning how easy it was for the group to acquire nuclear weapons.
