Manchester United transfer news: Brazilian Pato offered to Old Trafford club
Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Corinthians striker Alexandre Pato with the former believed to hold a “serious interest” in the 25-year-old, according to the Metro.
Former AC Milan star Pato, 25, is available for £11m and a deal has been put to both clubs, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Manchester United might turn to Alexandre Pato of Corinthians, on loan to Sao Paolo, as they continue their search for attacking reinforcements.
Pato career’s has stalled somewhat after a promising spell at AC Milan, but still boasts an impressive club record of 120 goals in 225 games.
Jose Mourinho is in the market for another centre-back as he looks to reshape his defence, however it is unlikely that the France global will be allowed to leave the Bernabeu.
The 19-year-old said: “I very much enjoyed my time with the squad during pre-season and I am very grateful to Fluminense for allowing me this opportunity”.
The Brazil worldwide is keen on a move to the Premier League, with Corinthians open to offers for the striker’s services.
