2 held on gun charges after Pokemon threats
When the attending police officers radioed colleagues to investigate the pair, they were then informed that they had made threats of violence on social media.
Kevin Norton, 18, and James Stumbo, 27, are both charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and other “firearm-related charges”. Police were notified of the threats on Thursday and were on the lookout for the two throughout the weekend.
Two men who seemed intent on a shooting spree at the 12 Pokemon World Championships in Boston have been arrested. BRIC and Boston PD detectives were called and were told that the two men had driven to the event from Iowa and had several firearms in their vehicle, police said.

Arrest warrants were issued and the two men, 18-year-old Kevin Norton and 27-year-old James Stumbo, were taken into custody on Friday at their hotel in Saugus.
The Pokemon World Championships included almost 1,000 invitees from around the world in the masters, senior and junior divisions, according to the Japanese card game’s website. Upon searching their vehicle, authorities recovered a 12-gauge shotgun, an AR-15, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, and a hunting knife.
