Republique is Coming to Playstation 4 in Early 2016
A new game that was originally made for mobile is making its way to next generation consoles.
Publisher GungHo Entertainment has announced that they will be bringing Camouflaj’s critically acclaimed stealth adventure game République to the PS4 in 2016.
There’s no word yet on when République’s fourth episode will arrive, but this announcement suggests that we will be hearing more sooner rather than later. All three episodes were then released to Android devices via the Google PlayStore on October 22, 2014.
Stealth game Republique was one of the first major Kickstarter successes, raising over $500,000 in 2012.
The game tasks players with assisting a young woman named Hope escape from a totalitarian state.
Camouflaj was founded by Ryan Payton, known for his work producing Metal Gear Solid IV: Guns of the Patriots. However, the PS4 version of the game will be featuring the complete 5 episodes and will be available in the Playstation Store by the time of its launch. “I can’t thank GungHo enough for supporting our efforts to faithfully translate Republique into a true console experience”. The PlayStation 4 port will offer “full control” of Hope, differing this port from the iOS and PC versions.
Two more are planned and Puzzle & Dragons outfit GungHo has just announced that it will help with publishing duties.
