Verizon Droid Turbo Lollipop Update Android 5.1 Review: What’s New?

This week Motorola finally delivered updates to Android 5.1 Lollipop for the second Gen Moto X in the United States on both Verizon and AT&T, not to mention the long awaited DROID Turbo update. We suggest giving Moto Maker a try.

First of all, the brand new update being pushed to the Verizon Droid Turbo is the first taste of Lollipop that these users have received. This can be quite the jarring experience but it seems like Lollipop update has been fairly accepted by the Android community at large. It also includes Android Wear 5.1.1 – an update which recently enabled the watch’s built-in Wi-Fi radio, allowing for the device to be used even when away from the paired Android smartphone or tablet. And now the company has turned its attention to the original Moto X, and it’s getting the update in many regions around the globe.

A recent report that appeared on Android Central has given a report from Motorola’s own David Schuster, who announced a lot of information about the availability of Android 5.1 Lollipop on various Motorola Moto devices. This means that all of the changes that come with Android 5.0, 5.0.1, 5.0.2 and 5.1 Lollipop update are all included in this update. Here’s his latest comments. The Kinzie is expected to debut only in the United States and will be available exclusively at Verizon Wireless. Confirming the Android 5.1 Lollipop update has been fully deployed and is rolling out now to 14 countries around the globe.
