Man fatally hit by armored vehicle during reunion party
A 55-year-old man was run over and killed Saturday afternoon by an military style armored vehicle.
A man was run over and killed on Saturday after falling off of a WWII-era tank.
California Highway Patrol Officer Chris Parker said at 2:25 p.m. the department was notified of the incident, which occurred off of Suisun Parkway and Abernathy Road.
Two men were in a 1944 M5 tank when the vehicle started going downhill and it passed over a bump.
Medic Ambulance was dispatched to the accident, but the passenger was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 2:40 p.m.
The man who was run over has yet to be identified, but the driver has been identified as Dwayne Brasher, 62, according to CBS News.
The private property is owned by the Rowland family, which also owns and operates Jelly Belly Candy Co., a representative of the company confirmed. Drugs or alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the accident, the Highway Patrol said in a statement.
The fatal accident is still under investigation.
