Nelson Mandela’s grandson rapes child

The bail application of the grandson of former president Nelson Mandela was postponed in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Friday. Mbuso will remain in the police custody until his formal bail on Friday.

A 15-year-old girl said Mbuso Mandela followed her into a restroom and proceeded to rape her inside one of the stalls. Members of the Mandela family were in the cramped courtroom where Mbuso Mandela, 24, appeared calm as he sat behind his lawyer.

The rape allegedly took place at a restaurant in Greenside a Johannesburg suburb on August. 7 Selepe said. Also, owner of the restaurant where the incident happened is willing to cooperate with the investigation.

There was the family feud over the bones of three of Mandela’s children, which erupted shortly before his death in 2013 and had to be resolved in court.
