LG to unveil latest G Pad at IFA
The new G Pad II seems like a great transition from the previous one, with a 10.1-inch (1920 x 1200) WUXGA display and an unusually slim 7.8 mm form factor.
As a result of the strategic partnership between Microsoft and LG, the G Pad II 10.1 will be among the first few tablets that come pre-installed with Office for Android tablet and have an additional 100GB of free OneDrive storage for two years. It features dimensions of 254.3×161.1mm, and weighs only 489 grams.
LG today announced that it will unveil a new flagship tablet LG G Pad II with a 10.1-inch screen size at IFA that will be held next month in Berlin. Customers asked for a larger display, bigger battery, and faster performance without raising the price. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop based LG’s UX UI. There’s 2GB of RAM, with 16GB of built-in storage, a microSD card slot, and a five-megapixel camera on the back with a 2MP front-facing shooter on the other side. 4 CA / Wi-Fi 802.11 a, b, g, n, ac and A-GPS, USB 2.0.
It has a battery of 7,400mAh capacity that can give a single day of mixed usage. The tablet is powered by a quad-core processor and comes in LTE and Wi-Fi variants. Dual Window feature enable you to divides the screen allowing you to run two applications at the same time.
“The LG G Pad II 10.1 was developed in response to consumers’ feedback and optimized for multimedia consumption.” said Chris Yie, vice president and head of marketing communications for LG Mobile Communications Company. “The G Pad II delivers on all counts”. LG will announce its price clsoe on the heels of its availability in respective markets. The Life’s Good crew does plan to show the G Pad II 10.1 at IFA next month, though, so we’ll get to spend some hands-on time with the new slate before its release.
