Kobe Bryant joins Taylor Swift onstage, presents her with banner
Taylor Swift was surprised by Kobe Bryant at her tour stop at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on August 21.
After the award presentation, Swift continued to perform her hit songs to the sold out crowd, who included several big name stars.
Meanwhile, while she’s been busy being a good friend, she’s also kicked off her five-day sell-out stint at the Los Angeles Staples Center as part of the LA leg of her 1989 world tour.
Prior to coming to Southern California, Swift already played two sold-out shows last week at the San Francisco 49ers new arena, Levi Stadium, to a reported 50,000 fans. “The banners up at Staples Center right now because WHAT IS LIFE EVEN”, Tay later captioned an Instagram photo of her banner.
“This is my 12th show at Staples Center, I love you”, Swift told the crowd.
Kobe Bryant dealt with his third consecutive season-ending injury this past season, this time it was a torn rotator cuff.
She was more energetic than usual and her dance numbers and performances were more fierce and she was generally oozing with sass throughout the night. He added that to celebrate those championships they do something special and that is hanging banners. “One Republic” singer Ryan Tedder already had joined Swift on stage. Nonsense? Perhaps. But she sells the idea, one made only more potent by the fact that this production isn’t some hushed coffeehouse affair but a full-on pop spectacle. There are so many magical games to choose from, but the point is, every time Kobe stepped on the hardwood, you knew something spectacular could happen that night.
