Obama should not get ‘four more year
In Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania, a wide majority of voters reject the Iran nuclear deal announced last month, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll, while also saying the agreement would make the world less safe instead of safer. In Ohio, 58 percent opposed the agreement, compared to 24 percent who support it. In addition, 56 percent to 26 percent think the agreement would lead to a less safe world.
Obama gets similarly low approval ratings in Ohio and Pennsylvania. The findings are part of the pollster’s Swing State Poll in Florida, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.
Ohioans strongly oppose the Iranian nuclear deal and are against cutting federal funding to Planned Parenthood, a new survey shows. In Pennsylvania, 61 percent of voters oppose the deal, while 26 percent supported it; 60 percent to 27 percent said the deal would make the world less safe. Lawmakers return to Washington in September. Obama said he will veto it, and it’s unclear if the House and Senate would have enough votes to override his veto. The group has come under scrutiny after the release of undercover videos in which Planned Parenthood officials discussed providing tissue from aborted fetuses for research.
On illegal immigration, which is roiling the Republican presidential race, 52 percent of Ohio voters said immigrants now here illegally should be able to stay, with a path to citizenship. Another 36 percent say they should be required to leave the country, while 9 percent say they should be allowed to stay but not given a path to citizenship.
“Ohio men are less supportive than women of Planned Parenthood and women are less supportive of sending troops to fight ISIS than are Buckeye men”, said assistant poll director Peter Brown.
The Connecticut university’s telephone survey August. 7 through Tuesday of 1,096 Ohio voters has an overall margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.
Florida voters also oppose Obama’s nuclear agreement with Iran by a 61-to-25 percent margin.
