Caitlyn Jenner Costume Is Nothing Short of Derogatory
While it’s probably too early to be dreaming up your next Halloween costume, the people behind the seemingly unlimited supply of All Hallow’s Eve garb are well underway making a new batch of offensive, trashy and just plain stupid disguises.
In a statement to the Huffington Post , Trisha Lombardo, the company’s head of PR and marketing holds fast that the costume is meant to honor Jenner, not shame her.
However, company officials are defending the move to downplay one of the most influential people of 2015 into mass-marketed costumes, calling the transgender athlete a hero.
Caitlyn Jenner in new docu-series I Am Cait. However, Spirit says the costume will aim to “celebrate” Caitlyn.
The costume will be available within the next month or so, and it will sure to be followed by backlash.

‘There’s no tasteful way to “celebrate” Caitlyn Jenner or respect transgender people this way on the one night of the year when people use their most twisted imaginations to pretend to be villains and monsters, ‘ said Vincent Villano, director of communications at the National Center for Transgender Equality.
There is also a Change.org petition to stop the sale of the costumes.
Jenner’s rep, Alan Nierob, has declined to comment at this time.
