Here’s the First Look at Koei Tecmo’s Attack on Titan Game
Koei Tecmo unveiled new screenshots of the company’s upcoming “Attack on Titan” video game for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. Only time will tell whether the anime‘s critical acclaim will translate into the success of the video game. The “tactical hunting action” game will have players thinking strategically when taking down Titans, and skilled players will find themselves able to take them down in style.
Although there is still a long wait until this game is released in 2016, our studios are already pouring all of their passion and excitement into it and we hope to reveal more information soon!
Many Attack on Titan fans would know that a previous fan-made Attack on Titan game has been circulating around before the official Attack on Titan game for PlayStation was announced, primarily to satiate the hunger and curiosity of gamers who are also fans of the anime. While the company has been known for its “Dynasty Warriors” franchise, representatives have stated that the “Attack on Titan” game will not adapt the “Warriors” combat system. Characters such as Eren, Mikasa, and so on that were key to the original story will appear, of course, and their voice actors are the same as they were in the anime.
Next up, body part destruction on part of the titans is going to play a major role in the gameplay. It will also affect the range of action players can take and the pace of battle is constantly changing. A large number of scenarios that place the spotlight on popular characters are being prepared to develop the game’s dramatic story. A Japanese release might arrive this winter, with the rest of the world to get the action game in 2016. However, even though the developers promise that they will keep the world and the storyline intact in the game, there will also be new parts for the player to explore.
