LG launches the G Pad II 10.1 tablet
Now, the South Koreans launched the LG G Pad II 10.1 which, as its name suggests, is the 10.1-inch cousin of the recently announced G Pad II 8.0. Customers asked for a larger display, bigger battery, and faster performance without raising the price.
LG has officially unveiled their new addition to their tablet line known as the G Pad II 10.1.
How much would you be willing to shell out for the LG G Pad 2 10.1? There will be a Wi-Fi only version and one that supports LTE. The device will be running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and will have 2 variants: Wifi only model and 4G LTE model. That tablet features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 1280 x 800 pixel display, and comes with a capacitive touchscreen stylus. Exact prices, as well as availability, are not known at this time and, according to a report by NDTV Gadgets, that information should be available to us during IFA.
LG is clearly excited about the tablet, and also boasts that it features a slimmer bezel than most of its competitors, and a slim 7.8mm-thick chassis. The company also offers additional software features like Reader Mode, Dual Window and QuickMemo+ for better user experience. The second-generation LG G Pad tablet competes against the likes of Apple iPad Air 2, Google Nexus 9, Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 and Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet.
A little more than a week after silently taking the wraps off of the G Pad II 8.0, LG has revealed that tablet’s larger sibling. It is available in only a single color choice which is Brilliant bronze. None of those specs are going to impress those who shop in the premium segment, but they are still more than adequate for a high-end tablet. There is 16GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for storage expansion. The company plans to give its newest tablet an official unveiling at IFA 2015 in Berlin next month.
