Helmet cam footage shows Whitechapel cyclist push
The woman, in her early 40s, turns into Sidney Street from Whitechapel Road-but fails to stop for a pedestrian on a crossing by roadworks.
She politely asked him not to until she had cycled past.
The woman can be heard screaming in shock as she falls to the ground.
He then proceeds to viciously swear at her and begins to chase her down the road.
Swearing and shouting, he catches up moments later and says: “Come on. Come on”. He shouted at her and then pushed her off her bike into the path of passing traffic.
Thankfully, the woman didn’t require medical treatment and managed to get out of the road, despite being shaken by the assault.
Incredibly, she escaped without serious injury but was “very upset” following the attack.
The incident happened on a busy street in Whitechapel, east London, at the beginning of May but video footage of the incident has now been released by police.
Police are now trying to identify and trace the man. Anyone with information can contact police by telephoning 101 quoting images 180410 or calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
