23% of the 2000 respondents voting on the Dave panel chose “I just deleted all the German names off my phone”.
Wipe aside those tears of mirth, because there are nine more to come.
The prize for funniest joke of the Edinburgh Fringe has been won by Peterborough comedian Darren Walsh.
The funniest jokes from the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe have been revealed – and they include a hilarious one from a 12-year-old. “It’s Hans free”, beat jokes by regular nominees such as Stewart Francis to take this year’s title.
Walsh is no stranger to winning, having already won the first UK Pun Championship previous year.
The Fringe runs throughout August.
Kanye West was the butt of Canadian comic and runner-up Stewart Francis’s quip: “Kim Kardashian is saddled with a huge a**e”.
3 “Surely every vehicle is a people carrier?”
Masai Graham: “What’s the difference between a “hippo” and a “Zippo”?” That’s not a miracle.
Red sky at night. Shepherd’s delight. Blue sky at night. Day.
Tom Ward impressed judges with his witty remark: ‘I usually meet my girlfriend at 12:59 because I like that one to one time’. She was wearing massive gloves.
Clowns divorce. Custardy battle – Simon Munnery.
He reckons the following two jokes are even better than the top titter below though; “My cat is recovering from a massive stroke” and “Green men make me cross”. But I don’t want to be naked in an exam I haven’t revised for…
“I never lie on my CV…because it creases it”.
My wife gets it and I suffer’.
“But if you think I’m Russian, Soviet”.
In 2014, the organisers recorded 49,497 performances, making it the largest ever arts festival in the world.
