Jays Playoff Tickets On Sale Wednesday
Mitch Moreland (.287, 41 Rs, 18 HRs, 66 RBIs, 1 SB) went 1 for 4 Sunday with two RBIs. Texas ranks No. 5 on that list, with 548 runs.
The odds for Texas and Toronto are even, while the Over/Under (O/U) is now not available.
Fans can’t buy tickets for just one game however. Toronto is excellent at drawing walks with 3.3 per game, ranking second in the AL.
The Blue Jays will begin selling playoff tickets to season ticket holders on Wednesday, with sales expanding to new season ticket holders, flex-pack holders and eventually the general public over the coming weeks.
No team in baseball can match Toronto’s offence and with a rebalanced and reinforced pitching staff, few teams can score against them these days either.
Below is my video report, including my interview with Blue Jays pitcher Mike Price.
Over at WFAA, some dude wrote about Cole Hamels picking up his first win as a Texas Ranger yesterday. The Blue Jays have also transferred injured outfielder Michael Saunders to the 60-day DL, thus closing the book on his 2015 season.
When they are outhit, the Blue Jays are 11-44.
Lastly, a couple of days ago Matthew Kory wrote about the return of the contending Rangers for Vice Sports and likened them to a plate of eggs.
It all starts with former Oakland A’s third baseman Josh Donaldson, who was surprisingly traded to Toronto this past winter and has put together an MVP-caliber season, as he leads the league in both runs scored and RBIs. The Texas Rangers have won nine of their last 10 home games. 393 (48-for-122) with a. 436 on-base percentage.
