Apple closes iOS 8.4 firmware signing window
With the launch of the iOS 8.4.1, Apple was believed to have patched more than 40 security flaws, which had previously permitted hackers to develop jailbreaks for the company’s operating systems.
So, since there is an 8.4.1 jailbreak, when will it be released to the public?
IOS 8.4 has turned out to be a very successful iOS version, mainly in terms of jailbreaking. iOS 8.4 is jailbreakable with the PP and TaG jailbreak tools across Windows and Mac OS X. Never had we seen such a ideal jailbreak for iOS and that too, across both the major platforms.
Pangu reportedly has no plans to release the iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak presumably because the iOS 9 should already arrive in less than a month.
Pangu has also not made information relevant to the iOS 8.4.1 jailbreak they have demonstrated widely available, so people don’t really know that much about it, which is probably not an accident. Well that is apparently still a tease.
This means that if you updated to iOS 8.4.1 and haven’t downgraded yet, then you’re out of luck and will have to stick with iOS 8.4.1 until iOS 9 releases next month. Following the recent release of the iOS 8.4.1, the tech giant encourages users to either switch to the latest iteration or wait for the release of the iOS 9. But luckily for users, they had the temporary option of downgrading back to iOS 8.4, and jailbreak using the likes of TaiG and PP. But today, that downgrade option is no more, as Apple has stopped signing iOS 8.4 firmware for all devices. You should also have at least 80 percent power in your battery before attempting the jailbreak. The reason behind this move is because the team wishes its exploits remain unpatched in the upcoming operating system.
