Mega Yarn Yoshi, Mewtwo Amiibo Release Dates Confirmed

Nintendo has shared some news with us in regards to some upcoming amiibo dates, which is always great. Their soft, plush bodies hit the cute chord hard for gamers and they’ve flown off shelfs here in the UK.

Naturally, all that kawaii comes at a premium: Mega Yarn Yoshi has a suggested retail price of $39.99, while the standard version comes bundled with Woolly World for $59.99 or costs $16.99 as a standalone.

Secondly, the much-anticipated Mewtwo amiibo will release on November 13 in the US, and October 23 in Europe. Europe will get the Yarn Yoshi amiibo figures on November 27th. As far as compatibility goes, it will obviously work with Yoshi’s Woolly World, though whether it will simply act like its smaller brethren, or feature some unique functionality is not known at this time, though indications are that it will be the same. Touching it to the WiiU GamePad will spawn a second Yoshi into the level at any point you need to summon it, and you can save your favourite Yoshi pattern onto it. Unfortunately, the Mega Yarn Yoshi will not be available until November 15, a month after the game’s launch.
