Another Speedster Joins Season Two of THE FLASH
As Chambers, Beane will play a “brilliant but quirky college student” who ends up in the middle of the Flash-Zoom fight (which is now one-sided, because Zoom hasn’t been cast).
In the comics, Jesse Quick is a second-generation superhero-her parents were Golden Age superheroes Liberty Belle and Johnny Quick, former members of the Justice Society of America and the All-Star Squadron.
Barnes joins a cast for The Flash season 2 that includes Teddy Sears (Jay Garrick), Shantel VanSanten (Patty Spivot), Keiynan Lonsdale (Wally West), Michael Ironside (Lewis Snart), and Adam Copeland (Atom Smasher).
It’s unclear whether Hewitt will function as a villain in Flash, as CW describes him as “a charming, but cocky scientist who was affected by the same Particle Accelerator explosion that created the Flash“.
Tokamak has been altered from his comics origins a little more, as in the comics, he was a CEO who recreated the accident that created Firestorm. Not only will another speedster enter the mix in DC’s Jesse Quick, we’ll also meet Firestorm baddie Tokamak, and revisit a familiar character from the first season. After Caitlin Snow hires him to be a part of STAR Labs, he may take advantage of this moment to fulfill some sort of destiny that he has laid out for himself as a powerful meta-human.
Speaking to TV Insider, Grant Gustin also previewed the change in status quo for next season.
The finale shook everything up, rewriting the timeline and potentially changing the entire world.
As the season premiere edges closer, trickles of new intel will continue to emerge, so with that in mind we’ll keep you posted on any heroes and villains scheduled to appear.
The Flash Season 2 will begin on Tuesday, October 6 on The CW.
