Ex-Gov. Pataki: NYC is declining
“Let’s not be politically correct here”, Scarborough said on his “Morning Joe” show.
He said there are homeless people “lying all over the place”. This is what it looked like in the ’80s, in the ’70s, we’re moving back to that direction.
Indeed, NYC homelessness reached an all-time high in December, when the city counted 59,000 people sleeping in shelters. When he left in late 2013, these numbers had more than doubled to more than 53,000.
Former Gov. George Pataki took several shots at Mayor Bill de Blasio Tuesday, contending that the city’s heading downward.
He said there should be a focus on quality of life improvements.
“This is misguided liberalism at its worst”, Scarborough said.
Mayor de Blasio said at an unrelated news conference Monday that critics of Department of Correction Commissioner Joseph Ponte “don’t know what they are talking about”.
The program began Monday at the Queensbridge Houses, the largest development in the New York City Housing Authority. That’s just a lie!”-failing to mention that he’s buddies with Bloomberg”.
“This isn’t like 1933”.
