Swedish Next Top Model Blasts Modelling Industry In YouTube Video
The Swedish teen explains that when clients find out her measurements they no longer want to work with her, and that the main criticism from the industry is that her butt is too big and her hips are too wide. “They think my butt is too big and they think my hips are too wide, so according to the model industry, you can not look like this”.
We’ve spoken before about how ridiculous the modeling and fashion industries are…
Swedish model Agnes Hedengard says she is constantly branded “too big” for the catwalk.
Agencies tell her she’s simply “too big” to model.
Agnes, who posted the video on YouTube channel, says her goal for recording the clip is to show everyone how “absurd” the modelling industry can be when it comes to size.
In this video, thin 19-year-old Agnes with a BMI of 17.5 stands in front of a full-length mirror as she tells us her insane story.
‘I don’t get any more jobs since the industry thinks I’m too big.
Swedish women’s magazine Veckorevyn reports that Agnes can not get enough modelling work so has been working as a shop assistant in Stockholm.
However, her experience, she says, has taught her: ‘I am fine just as I am’. I gave [the modelling world] a shot for a year – I barely ate and counting calories was a daily chore.
She adds: ‘I’ve had anorexic thoughts, but I’ve fought against them.
She describes how she exercises every day to maintain her body, going for 50-60 minute runs and hitting the gym two to three times a week and follows a strict diet. She is clearly an astoundingly lovely girl, and it’s the fashion industry’s loss if they don’t see it that way. How sick is that.
