Huffington Post United Kingdom: The Frozen Elsa Birthday Cake That Went Terribly Wrong
The same records show no particular Disney-related uptick for Anna, Elsa’s sister and the true heroine of Frozen, though it was already a far more popular name in its own right throughout the entire 20th and 21st centuries.
The user shared a picture comparing the cake they had seen pictured when they placed their order, next to the cake that arrived and simply wrote: “The cake that was ordered and the cake that arrived”. It has been viewed more than two million times, with some folks defending the result and others panning it.
The charity later said on its Facebook page that the recipient of the cake “loved it”. – and took the opportunity to deliver a fantastic response of their own to the viral hype.
But the cake was created by New York’s McGreevy Cakes for Icing Smiles Inc, an organisation who makes custom cakes for families impacted by the critical illness of a child. So it looks like someone took this project on themselves. What if they really wanted to try this out, and were scared to, but decided to do it anyway, knowing they had to start somewhere? I read her all the messages she receives, including a message from Queen Elsa, messages from people telling her not to be ashamed of who she is and to be proud. “BUT here is the back story…I had just lost my grandmother and I had been with my Mum all day comforting her”.
