Rosie O’Donnell Man Charged in Daughter’s Disappearance

Coronato said inappropriate communications with a 17-year-old girl over the last several weeks led to Sheerer’s arrest Friday on obscenity charges as well as child endangerment charges.

The former View co-host reported her daughter missing on Tuesday, believing she had run away from their home in Nyack, New York, about a week earlier. If convicted of both charges, he faces over five years in jail.

Sheerer was arrested Friday night at his home.

“Some of those people were good enough to contact the police to assist us to say that they’ve been hearing from Chelsea“, Wilson told reporters, including WCBS 880’s Alex Silverman. She put out a series of tweets indicating she suspected Sheerer was involved, and cited an article that said he’d been charged with heroin possession with intent to distribute.

The prosecutor’s statement did not identify the minor, but police said Chelsea O’Donnell was found in Sheerer’s home. Chelsea, who is mentally ill, is also underage, and apparently, Rosie ODonnell is frightened for her daughter.

Responding to someone labelling her a “perfect mom”, she responded: “no mom is ideal – we all do our best”. Micoley confirmed their intended meeting in September after she spoke with Chelsea on August 8.

After Chelsea was found O’Donnell tweeted, “chelsea has been found and is safe in police custody – thank you all for the help and light #missingchildren”. Rosie ODonnell on the other hand was not happy where she was found- the home of an alleged drug addict.

But Rosie’s concern was heightened as Chelsea would have stopped taking her medication for an undisclosed mental health condition during her disappearance. When police told the occupant that they would not be going anywhere until they talked to Chelsea, she appeared and left with police willingly.
