Dead solicitor had ‘just returned from honeymoon’

A 42-year-old woman, understood to be his wife, Sharon, was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
They had married in their home town of Chorley, Lancashire and renewed their vows in a Las Vegas wedding chapel on their honeymoon.
The victim had been a solicitor for 26 years and was a partner at a local law firm, Kevills, based in Chorley, until being made redundant recently.
It’s believed Mr Edwards had just returned from Honeymoon in Las Vegas.
Officers were called to the address at around 8.20pm and said the 51-year-old had suffered a single knife wound.
Mr Edwards had died from a single wound to the chest, police said. He was dead at the scene.
The development came as Mr Edwards’ former colleagues paid tribute to the 52-year-old and pledged to help detectives investigating his murder.
“We have got a 42-year-old woman from Chorley in custody on suspicion of murder”.
