Samsung Execs are Now Wear-Teasing the Gear S2 Watch
Samsung has given us plenty of teases for the upcoming Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch, but we’ve yet to see it in the wild. According to the fresh rumor, the smartwatch will reportedly come with a nano SIM card slot, which will allow it to connect with a cellular network. Based on what we’ve seen of the Gear S2 so far, it seems like a nice-looking watch that’s going for an analog watch-style look with its round face. Users of the Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch will be able to make as well as receive calls directly from their wrist, and also navigate the web independently of a smartphone. The intelligent time piece will also feature Wi-Fi connectivity.
References to a device dubbed the Samsung Gear S2 Classic have been discovered buried in the source code of the firm’s official website, reports Galaxy Club. The smartwatch could be powered by Samsung’s 1.2GHz Exynos 3472 dual-core processor paired with 768MB of RAM and 4GB of onboard storage. In addition, the Gear S2 will have an accelerometer, a gyro, a barometer, and a heart rate monitor. Everyone thinks the Gear S2 runs Tizen. Samsung will announce all the final details for the watch at an event in Berlin on September 3.
