Valencia homers in 7-run 5th, A’s rally past Mariners 11-5
Danny Valencia homered and Stephen Vogt doubled twice in a seven-run fifth, and the A’s climbed out of a big hole against Hisashi Iwakuma for an 11-5 victory over the Seattle Mariners.
Canha followed with a two-run double just fair past third before the Athletics pulled even on Montero’s mistake.
The Mariners swept a three-game set at home from May 8-10, sandwiching a pair of one-run victories around a 7-2 triumph.
Reddick, who had three hits, hit on his 15th homer in a three-run ninth. The Athletics trailed 2-1 before staging a seven-run rally in the seventh inning which was highlighted by Mark Canha’s three-run triple.

After Evan Scribner gave up two homers and five runs in the third inning, Scribner, winning pitcher Edward Mujica (3-4), Pat Venditte and Drew Pomeranz shut out Seattle the rest of the way. He allowed seven hits and seven runs with four strikeouts and a walk. Seattle commemorated RHP Hisashi Iwakuma’s no-hitter on August. 12 by giving out T-shirts to fans attending the game Monday….
