Minecraft On Windows 10 Will Be Free If You Already Have It

Mojang has announced that Minecraft is coming to Windows 10 and will bring along a bunch of new features.

The new PC version of the popular sandbox puzzle game will come out with a lot of new features such as the PC-to-mobile multiplayer as well as the 8-person online play and multiple input support for seamless switching between a console’s gamepad, a computer keyboard, or a smartphone or tablet’s touchscreen.

“The Windows 10 version of “Minecraft” is considered a work in progress.” says Matt Booty, general manager of “Minecraft” based in Microsoft’s headquarters in Redmond, Wash.

A blogpost by Mojang states that Windows 10 beta version will evolve over the time and become more exciting with each feedback. The title will be priced at $10 (or regional equivalent) and this will be a discounted price during the beta period, in which the time frame of this period is yet to be finalized. And the good news is that all future updates will be absolutely free. They also said the Windows 10 edition will include some of the features of the Android and iOS versions.

No release date was announced for the upcoming game. The crowd at Minecon 2015 also made it to the Guinness World Record for being the largest audience convention for a single game in history, reports The Independent.

The game still centers on the Minecraft world, where players acquire and make use of items to make shelters for themselves.

Development studio Telltale Games has released the details of its “Minecraft” spin-off game titled “Minecraft: Story Mode”. It seems that Minecraft Story Mode will be a five-episode adventure game, exploring the shenanigans of a character named Jesse (not Pinkman from Breaking Bad!) and his friends’ quest of defying an unnamed malice that aims to bury the world in darkness. After something goes terribly wrong in their world, Jesse and his friends must track down the legendary Order of the Stone to help defeat the oncoming terrors that wait for them in the night.
