Man Arrested In Connection With Disappearance Of Rosie O’Donnell’s Daughter
A 25-year-old man has been arrested after Rosie O’Donnell’s missing 17-year-old daughter was found at his New Jersey home by police.
Chelsea O’Donnell was found at Sheerer’s home Tuesday after she was reported missing from South Nyack, N.Y., the week before, according to reports from the New York Daily News and ABC News.
O’Donnell posted a comment regarding Chelsea on Twitter after the teen was found.
It is believed that Sheerer and Chelsea were corresponding after meeting on Tinder, a popular dating application.
Coronato’s announcement did not name the victim, but a spokeswoman for O’Donnell said the case involves her daughter.
O’Donnell and her second wife, Michelle Rounds, whom she married in December 2011, adopted a baby girl, Dakota, in January 2013.
Sheerer was arrested in 2012 for possessing heroin with intent to distribute and child endangerment.
Sheerer would face up to five years in prison on each charge if convicted. She was fortunate to have the reach she did, and it paid off: her daughter Chelsea was in police custody just six hours later.
After making a return to the popular panel show past year, O’Donnell quit in February after confirming a split from her wife. Luckily, the teenager and her therapy dog, Bear were found by the police a few days ago after they pinged her cell phone.
Chelsea declined medical attention, and “she did not appear to be in any mental distress”, he said. A search warrant was also executed and a computer and other digital equipment were seized as part of the continuing investigation. 11 and authorities had been searching for her since Sunday.
Sheerer, who was arrested Friday night, is accused of sending sexually explicit photos to a minor. Sheerer is now being held in jail on a $40,000 bond and is prohibited from contacting Chelsea or her family.
