IndyCar fans remember Wilson with tributes at Speedway
Wilson was attended to by the Holmatro Safety Team and airlifted to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Allentown, Pa. He remained in a coma there before dying Monday.
Wilson is survived by his wife, Julia, and two daughters. They live in the Denver suburb of Longmont.

Wilson started 173 races in the Champ auto and the IndyCar Series from 2004-2015.
The IndyCar organization has announced that its drivers will wear a special logo, honoring Wilson, on helmets in this weekend’s racing at Sonoma Raceway in California.
NASCAR driver Max Papis shared an address for fans, friends and family to send financial contributions to Wilson Children’s Fund.
“Obviously Justin was a great professional driver and extremely good at his craft”, said Carpenter.

Wilson was born in Sheffield, England and grew up in the area.
Wilson competed in 120 races in his eight-year IndyCar career and won three times.
