State police: Officer, 2 others shot; injuries not known
Tonette Thibodeaux of the Sunset police department confirms that an officer was shot but says she does not have any details.
Three people have reportedly been shot in Sunset, Louisiana, including a police officer. Some of the victims have been transported by Acadian Ambulance from a location on Anna Street. Louisiana State Police confirmed that two other people were shot in the incident.

UPDATE 5:25 p.m.
Acadian is responding to a shooting in Sunset. At least four people were inside when the situation began.
Third, Sgt. James Anderson tells news that eight persons are being held hostage right now.
The conditions of the officer and the others shot and details of what led up to the shooting were not immediately known.
St. Landry Parish authorities are investigating reports of an officer shot Wednesday.
Sources say there are several ambulances and helicopters in the area as there may be “multiple scenes”.
Our ABC affiliate, KATC, in Lafayette says a Sunset police officer in St. Landry’s Parish, has been shot.
