There will be ‘war’ if Asif Zardari apprehended: Khursheed Shah
On Dr Asim Hussain’s detention, Shah said that his party leader is arrested without any initial investigation and “if any such action is taken against Zardari, then it will lead the country into crisis”, admonishingly said the PPP leader.
He warned the government while talking to the media in the Parliament House.
Opposition Leader in the National Assembly (NA) Khursheed Shah said that Sindh is particularly being victimized that already is in crisis. He said that the ruling party must understand that political parties are its aides. Shah said that Sindh Higher Education Commission (HEC) chairman Dr Asim Hussain must be interrogated first before any legal proceedings.
Reports said that Shah told the meeting that COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) has signed an agreement with a UK-based university without government of Pakistan’s approval.
A grey trafficking case is being compiled against Raja Pervez Ashraf, he added.
He said the PPP had principle stance on Kashmir issue that it should be resolved according to the resolutions of the United Nations.
To a question, he said that as an Opposition Leader, he played his role and contacted Maulana Fazalur Rehman, MQM leader Farooq Sattar and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on the issue of the MQM.
“ECP members should leave themselves as they are still holding on to their posts due to monetary benefits”, Shah added.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore, he urged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan to do politics for Pakistan now as he had earlier practiced politics of sit-ins and protests.
The sources said that red warrants have been prepared for former Provincial Minister Syed Owais Muzaffar, former Karachi Municipal Corporation Administrator Saqib Soomro, businessmen Anwar Majeed, and former Sindh Building Control Authority Chief Manzoor Qadir Kaka and others.
The PPP stalwart went on to say that the Indian spy agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) had made its way into Balochistan.
