Emmerdale: watch Ross Barton confront Pete in brand-new showdown!
James (Bill Ward) is shocked to the core when he hears that Pete killed Ross in a shock fight that went wrong, but once the news sinks in, he demands to see his son.
“When Ross finally opens his eyes he’s going to want to know what’s going on with him and Debbie, what’s going on with him and Pete, and Cain is also heavily involved in all this palaver”.
When Pete discovered his brother’s affair with his wife Debbie Dingle, he lost it – but Ross is back, and he’s out for revenge.
Speaking about Ross’s comeback, Parr told the website Digital Spy: “It’s been hard, fun and exciting”. But when Debbie broke down, believing Ross to be dead, Pete accused her of still being in love with his brother. Ross is always painted as the bad one but he’s never done this to anybody.
Admitting that he found the task hard to begin with, Mike added: “I’m not exactly the quietest guy and this has been a massive secret”. I was allowed to tell my mum, dad and granddad but I had to lie to my other family.
“People have been quizzing my grandad”.
Michael Parr admitted it had been a “nightmare” keeping the pretend departure secret from fans and family, tweeting later that he felt bad he “made his grandad lie in church”.
On Twitter, Michael said: “I have to thank [Emmerdale boss] Kate Oates for planning an fantastic story along with our incredible writers”.
“There’s been a bit of speculation that Ross wasn’t dead, so I’ve also been trying to throw people off”.
Will Ross win Debbie back? “I was thinking, ‘No not really, because I’m still under contract!'”.
“Ross is like a cat with nine lives”. So you’re going to have to wait and see, but I promise you it’s going to be electric.
“I had some wonderful storylines a year ago but this one has been unreal – and it’s not finished yet”.
