Dragon Age Inquisition Future DLC Only Releasing on Current Gen
Dragon Age: Inquisition DLC will no longer be released for Xbox 360 and PS3, says BioWare.
As with other cross-generation save import features, this will only work if you’re looking to transfer your game from Xbox 360 to Xbox One or PS3 to PS4. Furthermore, your PSN/Xbox Live account must have the same EA account attached to both consoles. How will players react? Well, it seems unusual to drop platforms mid-way through a game’s life unless the thing you’re working on really can’t support that platform. First: Data can only be imported inside the same console family.
Sound the claxons, ring the alarms, bring out your dead. However, some character-creation options were not available for the PlayStation 3 system and Xbox 360 console.
There’s a separate process for moving your multiplayer data from one console to another. You can only transfer if you have 99 Platinum or less. It will also let you migrate your previously purchased DLC content onto your new console too so you don’t have to re-buy anything you’ve already picked up.
The studio might offer details about single player DLC once the next patch is deployed. BioWare expects to release this update later in July.
Call it coincidence, but Dragon Age: Inquisition is available for half the price in the Xbox Ultimate Game Sale.
There is no more content coming for the Xbox 360 or PS3 versions.
