Chris Christie Bucks Party, Opposes Using ‘Religious Liberty’

On Wednesday, a reporter and a camera man for local Virginia station WDBJ7 were slain while conducting an interview on camera. President Obama and Hillary Clinton, the Democratic presidential frontrunner, called for additional gun control measures in the wake of the shooting.

“The deaths are an very bad tragedy, but let’s focus on what the real problem is: We’re not enforcing the laws in this country”, Christie, 52, said on the “Fox & Friends” program.

Calling for a “country of laws where everyone is treated equally”, Christie said that even though “religious organizations absolutely should be protected” and “everyone should freely practice their religion the way they see fit”, he still believes that “businesses should not be allowed to discriminate”.

It’s probably a little early in the process to entirely write off the scandal-plagued governor, but the end of this super PAC is a reminder that Christie’s greatest challenge at this point is overcoming the indifference to his national ambitions. “I’m not going engage in that”.

“We fired the entire police force three years ago, started a new police force that is doing community policing, [and] the murder rate in Camden the last three years is down 61 percent”, Christie said.

“But we don’t need new laws in this country to be able to do that. I don’t know the particulars about him, nor does anybody else”. I was U.S. Attorney in New Jersey for seven years, we enforced the gun laws against felons who held guns.

“We have a system of laws in this country, and those laws need to be followed”, said the Republican presidential candidate on August. 22 during an appearance at the Iowa State Fair, according to a transcript of his remarks the Human Rights Campaign posted to its website.
