Trump on His Favorite Bible Verse: ‘That’s Personal’
After Trump, the Republican presidential primary front-runner, touted his appreciation of the Bible on the campaign trail, the hosts of Bloomberg TV’s “With All Due Respect” asked him to name his favorite verse during an interview on Wednesday.
In an interview with Bloomberg this week, Donald Trump was asked how he would explain his opposition to gay marriage to a hypothetical gay Trump child. “I wouldn’t wanna get into it because, to me, that’s very personal”, he said.
Beck was specifically referencing Trump’s decision not to highlight a Bible verse he draws inspiration from.
“I don’t want to get into it”, Trump said.
Heilemann said.
When asked whether he’s more an “Old Testament guy or New Testament”, Trump said, “Probably equal”. I joke when they hold up ‘The Art of The Deal, ‘ that is my second favorite book of all time.
“That’s a tough question”, he replied. I’m a Presbyterian. I went to Sunday school.
In a Washington Post poll August. 6, Trump was said to be leading in courting the evangelical vote at 20 percent. I don’t bring God into that picture. “I don’t”. “He’s not going to say all that, because no one has given him the chance to say it”.
Thomas Kidd has recently questioned whether these “evangelicals” are really evangelicals, but that feels like a cop out to me. “I do that”.
Palin and Trump have been political pals for a while now.
Beck said people aren’t as invested in Trump, so they will admit it when he disappoints them. I work hard. I’m an honorable person.
Well, apparently, some 30,000 people decided that the lightweight huckster in his own Boeing 757 and fleet of Cadillac Escalades is a hell of a better bet than all the professional lightweight hucksters who have so thoroughly been destroying America for the last couple of decades.
