ARK: Survival Evolved Update Adds Doedicurus
Developed by Studio Wildcard, in conjunction with Instinct Games, ARK: Survival Evolved will launch in June 2016 on Xbox One via the ID@Xbox program, PlayStation®4 with Project Morpheus support, and full release on Steam. They’ve been making strides in updates, marking itself among the number of successful examples of Early Access.
Open-world dinosaur island survival game ARK: Survival Evolved is killing it on Steam Early Access.
If that wasn’t enough, special meteor extinction servers will be running over the course of the free weekend until Tuesday morning. Playing the game this weekend for free could grant a huge discount to continue playing. Needless to say, they’re very useful once you get them to work with you.
These tournaments only run from 6 AM Saturday to 11 PM Monday, so those who have bought that game can participate past the free weekend. The winning tribes will advance to a Pre-Championship Tournament on September 1st at 10AM. If not, are you going to check it out this weekend?
“Unnatural Selection” will also give participants a chance to check out some new additions to the game.
This Survival of the Fittest tournament features distinct updates, most noticeably six new world changing Evolution Events and a first appearance by the Dragon! They’ll also be the first players to encounter the Dragon.
Powered by Unreal Engine 4, Ark: Survival Evolved takes on the survival genre with a unique blend of emergent multiplayer cooperation and competition. The winged beast will be available for taming at the center platform halfway through the battle, though it will only tolerate its rider for a limited time. Players awake naked and starving on the beach of a mysterious island among a herd of other confused humans. Furthermore, the dragon will reappear during extended sudden death to eliminate all remaining survivors if they are not sufficiently murdering each other! The developers recently added mod support so players can create new items, maps and features.
