Kim Kardashian Steals Instagram Crown From Beyonce

She stole the honors from the reigning champion, Beyoncé – Kim now has 44.1 million followers to Bey’s 44 million. There’s only a 70,000 difference between the celebrities – Tech Insider reports Kardashian is at 44,005,604, with Beyonce at 43,935,648.

Just two weeks ago Kim was ranked in the number two spot with 42million followers, meaning that she has gained over two million followers in just 14 days.

Kim simply captioned the picture in which she rocks wet locks and a boob-baring frock with “pregnancy lips.’ Of course, this baffled her followers who commented: ‘Pregancy lips?” Not far behind in third place comes Taylor Swift, followed by a host of the hottest names from the world of music and showbusiness.

Since they’re so well-known, Kardashian West and Beyonce are “playing out universal roles that have been around since Greek tragedy, through Shakespeare, and onto social media”, Weiss said.

Unfortunately for Khloe, her claim was immediately debunked by her sister Kim.

As a Twitter user pointed out, one of the Kardashian’s recent upload seems to have propelled her on the top slot. Technically, Instagram itself is the most-followed Instagram account, with over 94 million followers. In fact there’s now a new queen of Insta, who’s overtaken Beyoncé Knowles as the celebrity with the most fans.
