Sony Xperia Z4 Compact Specifications Leaked

The report cites not one but two benchmarking sites that reportedly featured a Sony phone with model number E5663, which may just be the next generation of its last compact phone, the Xperia Z3.

While the mooted Xperia Z4 Compact’s screen is the same size as the Xperia Z3 Compact, according to the leaked specifications it will be given a resolution boost to 1080p, up from the 720p of its predecessor – which would make it delightfully pin-sharp. Sony Xperia Z4 Compact is rumored to be run on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop operating system.

“We’re excited to have the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua in our range and on our network as an operator exclusive”, Spark Home, Mobile and Business general manager Jason Paris said. Keep your fingers crossed for this new Sony product.

Sony Xperia Z4 or Z3+ will retain its unique Omnibalance style, 6.9mm thickness, a 144g glass-and-aluminium body, a 5.2-inch 1920 x 1080 display, despite early rumors hinting the screen would be 5.5 inches. It will come running under a 1.9GHZ octa-core MediaTek MT6795 CPU, with Imagination Technologies Power VR Rogue G6200 GPU, and uses OpenGL ES 3.1 As its 3D API. For camera specifications, it is believed to be not so surprising as Sony Xperia series smartphones are already known for their above-class capturing capabilities. The Japanese handset maker promised users that it will release an update soon to fix the overheating problem on the device in the next couple of weeks.

It is listed with the same 20.7-megapixel camera on the rear, while the selfie snapper appears to have been upgraded to 13 megapixels.

There have been previous reports that the handset or its big brother the Xperia Z4 Ultra, or its small brother the Xperia Z4 Compact, or all three of them, would be hitting other retail markets outside of Japan in May but that did not materialize at all.
