Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander has no-hitter through 8 innings against Angels
He said he interacted with Verlander between innings just as he normally would.
In his last start, Verlander pitched 7.0 innings, giving up one, striking out eight and walking one in a 2-0 loss to the Rangers.
The right-hander struck out five consecutive batters prior to Murphy’s walk.
On Wednesday, he faced 28 hitters – one over the minimum.
