Imran Khan is afraid of contesting polls in Lahore: Pervaiz Rashid
Regarding the bye-election, he said that his party’s unanimous decision was that the election would not be transparent in the presence of sitting members.
Lahore-Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chairman Imran Khan announced on Saturday to hold a sit-in in front of Election Commission of Pakistan if its members do not tender their resignations by October 4.
The PML-N leader said that the Election Commission has announced the schedule for the first phase of local government polls in Punjab and Sindh, therefore if any member of the ECP is removed, it will sabotage the entire election process.
“We will stage a sit-in on October 4 infront of the ECP’s office in Islamabad if the current members do not resign from their posts”, said Imran Khan. He added that his political party would not have taken to the streets if their earlier demand of opening four constituencies had been entertained by the then chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
Expressing his wish to compete with Prime Minister Nawaz Shairf in NA-122 by-poll, he said he won’t dare “Mian Sb” for election contest because the prime minister doesn’t take up his challenges.
In this movement, Imran Khan will symbolize these four constituency as the whole general elections being rigged or at least not fair.
Pervaiz Rashid said that PTI has filed candidate for NA 122 and they failed to get candidate from Lahore.
He was of the view that the people who were involved in rigging in 2013 general election would not conduct transparent election in the future. One of the close friend who also have an important portfolio said, Imran Khan faced defeat because of not having sincerity in his movement.
He said the nation has come to know about “Imran Khan’s condition” during the last three years.
