Marvel announces Guardians of Infinity
As a part of the their all-new, all-different take on their comic book line up, Marvel has announced the new Guardians of Infinity comics.
Rumors reveal a possible “Avengers” and “Guardians of the Galaxy” team up, and Jeremy Renner is speculated to have confirmed it. Find out this December as Abnett, Barberi, Latour and Cheung take you on an action-packed adventure across the cosmos in GUARDIANS OF INFINITY #1!
Thanos, voiced by Josh Brolin, has appeared as the main villain the previous “Guardians” and “Avengers” movie. And on top of these two teams getting together, a whole new team will be introduced, the Guardians 1000.
Although the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Avengers will be battling the same supervillain – Thanos – it would appear that the former heroes will only be keeping to their cosmic corner of the story. Dan Abnett is writing the series, with art from Carlo Barberi.
Defending the galaxy is a good gig, but Drax isn’t thrilled with the combat hours (not enough of them) and Rocket isn’t thrilled with the compensation (not enough of it).
According to the Marvel, Groot, Rocket and Drax have bit off more than they can chew, and are about to get into even more trouble than usual, when the Guardians 3000 step into help. Stranded on a planet where culture is based on Earth-style professional wrestling, the bruiser from Yancy Street and the Guardian’s own ferocious furball find themselves locked in a struggle of life and death! But who are the mysterious and enigmatic Guardians 1000?! The first issue will be released on December 1.
About eight months ago, the “Guardians of the Galaxy” director have indirectly told giddy, speculating fans to quit expecting a crossover.
