Wayne Dyer Dead at 75-Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi and More Stars
Self-help guru Wayne Dyer, who died Saturday night at his home in Maui, Hawaii, often talked about how his tough Detroit childhood helped hone his character and philosophy that a person’s thoughts could be life-changing.
Dr. Wayne Dyer, beloved author of numerous self-help books and close friend to numeorus TV personalities, has passed away at 75. He always said he couldn’t wait for this next adventure… “Our hearts are damaged, however we smile to think about how a lot our scurvy elephant will benefit from the different aspect”, stated a submit by his household on Dyer’s Fb web page. He did say that he was treating the disease through positive thinking, workouts and “psychic surgery” with spiritualist Joao Teixeira de Faria. The network began tweeting a series of interviews with Dyer beginning Sunday on the account of its spirituality and religion show “Super Soul Sunday”. Release of the book brightened his career as a writer and inspirational speaker. His death was marked by entertainer Ellen DeGeneres, who noted that Dyer had officiated her wedding.
Dyer wrote more than 25 books, including his 1976 debut Your Erroneous Zones, which sold more than 35 million copies. Dyer’s writing – including best-seller “Your Erroneous Zones“, which built on ideas espoused by Krishna Rau, the founder of Siddha Yoga – made him a regular on the talk show circuit.
A Detroit native, Dyer earned a doctorate in educational counseling from Michigan’s Wayne State University before going on to teach at St. John’s University in New York.
On his Facebook page, Dyer recently wrote what many are now seeing as a possible hint that his health was failing: “I have a suit in my closet with the pocket cut out”.
Dyer is survived by his eight children, as well as his third wife, from whom he was separated.
