Street Fighter V Beta Details Announced
Street Fighter V Beta entry will be an exciting opportunity for fans of the franchise. Over on the official Capcom Unity blog Combofiend explains that the beta will commence for PC users later this year, but details aren’t available right now…
According to the game developer, players from the United States and Canada can get the beta keys by pre-ordering the upcoming fighting game from exclusive retailers such as PlayStation Network, Amazon, GameStop, and Best Buy. The beta kicks off first for PlayStation 4 players on July 23, with the PC beta set for fall.
Users who pre-order digitally through PSN will not need to redeem a Beta key, but will need to manually download the Street Fighter V Beta client from the PSN store starting on 7/20. Those successful will get an email on July 21.
In other news, Capcom confirmed that they will be present at the 2015 Anime Expo from July 2 to 5 to present “Street Fighter V” in front of the audience inside the Los Angeles Convention Center. Those who will order the game in advance will get an email containing the key from their chosen retailer, except PSN, starting July 20. The code redemption date is the same as in North America July 20th. As mentioned above, that will grant you automatic access to the beta from July 20.
For Japan you’ll have to access the PlayStation store and download a beta ticket as well between July 8th and July 13th. Users who are selected to participate will receive an email on 7/23 with instructions on how to access their Beta redemption key.
Notifications and access will be provided starting in the middle of July, depending on the territory. Capcom has also included more interactive stage elements and even faster gameplay than before.
Capcom recently announced that they will be starting the Street Fighter V Beta program for the PS4 on July 23. You can look for the game to launch on PC and PS4 next year in March.
